# Make your landing page better

References, sections and effects for a landing page that looks like someone cared.

Start with references so you're describing something real, not "modern and clean". Then pull sections from libraries your agent can install, add one signature effect, and stop before it becomes a demo reel.

## Resources, in order

1. [Godly](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/godly.md) — Astronomically good web design inspiration, hand-picked.
   Agent: Limited.
The gallery I open first. Small enough to browse in one sitting, good enough that nearly everything on it is worth a look. Godly's curation now continues at Recent, listed separately, which covers more than websites.
2. [SaaS Landing Page](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/saas-landing-page.md) — Landing page examples organised by the exact section you're stuck on.
   Agent: Limited.
When you're building a pricing section, look at thirty pricing sections, not thirty homepages. That's what this site is for.
3. [Land-book](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/land-book.md) — A big, searchable gallery of landing pages, filterable by style, colour and industry.
   Agent: Limited.
Use it as a search engine: "SaaS pricing page, dark, blue" and you'll get twenty real examples in seconds. The colour and typography filters are the best part.
4. [CTA Gallery](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/cta-gallery.md) — Real calls to action, sorted into buttons, forms, modals, pricing and newsletters.
   Agent: Limited.
The pricing section is the reason it's here. Pricing tables are the block agents get wrong most consistently, and a wall of real ones makes the good decisions obvious: fewer tiers, one highlighted, plain feature names. The rest of the gallery is a decent second opinion on any conversion-shaped component.
5. [Navbar Gallery](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/navbar-gallery.md) — 550+ real website navbars, sorted by type: mega menus, sidebars, tabs and the rest.
   Agent: Limited.
Navigation is where agent-built sites most often look generic, because the default is a logo, four links and a button. Seeing fifty announcement bars or sidebars side by side is the quickest way to find a better shape for yours. Narrow, but that's why it works.
6. [Supahero](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/supahero.md) — Hundreds of website hero sections from real sites, nothing else.
   Agent: Limited.
The hero is the one part of a landing page everyone sees, and the part where "make it modern" produces the same centred headline every time. A page of nothing but heroes shows how much variety there is in layout, type size and what sits next to the copy. Use it to pick a shape before you write the prompt.
7. [Magic UI](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/magic-ui.md) — Animated React components and effects for landing pages, built to sit alongside shadcn/ui.
   Agent: Excellent. Install: `npx shadcn@latest add "https://magicui.design/r/marquee"`
The quickest way to make a landing page feel alive. Use two or three effects with restraint; a page made entirely of Magic UI components starts to look like a demo.
8. [Aceternity UI](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/aceternity-ui.md) — Showy, copy-paste React components for landing pages that need a moment.
   Agent: Good.
Genuinely impressive effects, and beginners love it for good reason. The risk is overuse. Pick one signature effect for a hero and keep the rest of the page calm.
9. [Tailwind Plus](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/tailwind-plus.md) — The official paid Tailwind component and template catalogue (formerly Tailwind UI).
   Agent: Limited.
Still the highest-quality general-purpose set of sections you can buy, and it defined the look of a generation of SaaS sites. Because it's gated, your agent can't browse it; you'll paste the code yourself.
10. [SVGL](https://dontmakeitugly.com/resources/svgl.md) — A beautiful library of full-colour SVG logos with light and dark variants.
   Agent: Excellent.
Where Simple Icons gives you monochrome, SVGL gives you the real logo. Perfect for "trusted by" and "built with" sections.

Work down the list in order. Each linked page says what the resource is, why it's here and how an agent can use it.
