# getdesign.md

A 550-strong catalogue of DESIGN.md files, following Google's spec.

- Type: Collection
- Categories: Agent Resources, Design Systems
- Pricing: Freemium · License: MIT
- Open source: yes
- Works with: Framework agnostic

## What it is

getdesign.md is a browsable catalogue of DESIGN.md analyses of well-known product sites, covering colours, type, spacing, components and the reasoning behind each choice. It follows the DESIGN.md specification published by Google Labs, and is maintained by the VoltAgent team alongside the awesome-design-md repository, which is MIT licensed and one of the most-starred repositories in this space. The site also sells starter kits and a catalogue pass, and offers a custom DESIGN.md service.

## Why it's here

The largest collection of the lot, and the one with a real repository behind it, so you can read the files without going through the site. The framing is the right one: give the agent a reusable reference so every page follows the same visual language instead of restarting from generic defaults. There's a fair amount of upsell around the free catalogue, so know which part you came for.

## Best for

- finding a DESIGN.md to start from
- matching a reference site's look
- agent design context

## Can my agent use this?

Yes, and the repository is the easier route. Point your agent at the GitHub collection, have it read the DESIGN.md closest to the look you want, then adapt it into your own file rather than copying a brand wholesale.

Agent friendliness: Excellent. Public docs, public source or an installable package. An agent can read, install and implement this directly.
Access methods: Public website, GitHub, Copy/paste.
