# Origin UI

Hundreds of polished, practical components built on shadcn/ui conventions.

- Type: Component library
- Categories: Components
- Pricing: Free · License: MIT
- Open source: yes
- Works with: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, Radix UI

## What it is

Origin UI is a large, free collection of components and variants (inputs, selects, tables, dialogs, notifications, sliders, and more) that follow shadcn/ui conventions. Where shadcn gives you one button, Origin gives you thirty well-considered variations to copy.

## Why it's here

Quietly one of the most useful component resources around. Less flashy than Magic UI or Aceternity, far more useful for actual product interfaces.

## Best for

- app interfaces
- forms and inputs
- tables
- settings pages

- GitHub: https://github.com/origin-space/originui

## Can my agent use this?

Yes. Every component shows its source and has a registry URL for the shadcn CLI. Give your agent the component's page or registry link.

Agent friendliness: Excellent. Public docs, public source or an installable package. An agent can read, install and implement this directly.
Access methods: Public website, GitHub, CLI, Copy/paste.

## Prompt to hand your agent

```text
Use Origin UI as a design and implementation reference for this project.
What it is: Hundreds of polished, practical components built on shadcn/ui conventions.
Website: https://originui.com
GitHub: https://github.com/origin-space/originui
Use it specifically for:
- app interfaces
- forms and inputs
- tables
- settings pages
How you can access it: Public website, GitHub, CLI, Copy/paste.
Works with: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS.
License: MIT. Respect it.
Read the documentation before writing code, and use the current version's API. Install it properly rather than re-implementing it. Adapt the defaults to this project's existing design tokens, typography, spacing and accessibility requirements. Do not blindly copy the entire resource.
