What it is

Recraft is an image generator built for design work rather than photos. It produces raster and vector output, keeps one style consistent across a set of images, and can vectorise, upscale and replace backgrounds. It runs as a web studio, as an API billed in units, and as an official remote MCP server that coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor can call directly.

Why it’s here

When a section needs texture, an agent reaches for a CSS gradient, and that is where the purple comes from. A generated image with the palette named in the prompt does the same job without the tell. Recraft is here because it speaks vector and style, which is what interface work needs, and because the MCP server means the agent can make the asset without leaving the task.

Can my agent use this?

Agent excellent agent friendliness

Yes. Add the remote MCP server at https://mcp.recraft.ai/mcp to your agent's config; it signs in with your Recraft account and spends the same credits as the studio. Name the contract's colours in the prompt, ask for a texture or an illustration, save the file into the project and put it in an img or a background-image. The design check does not sample pixels inside images, so the asset can carry more colour than the frame around it. One caveat: images made on the free plan are owned by Recraft and shown publicly, so use a paid plan for anything you ship.
